We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to the children of 5th and 6th Class who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, 24th May in St James's Church, Charlestown. It was a truly special and spiritual occasion, shared with the children of St James’ NS, Barnacogue, and St Attracta’s NS, Charlestown.

This milestone marks an important step in the children's faith journey, and we are incredibly proud of the reverence, maturity, and joy with which they embraced the day.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, guardians, and family members who supported the children and joined in the celebration—it was wonderful to see so many families gathered in faith and community.

We are deeply grateful to Fr Johnston and Bishop Doran for officiating such a meaningful and memorable Confirmation ceremony. Their kind words, blessings, and guidance made the occasion truly special.

A special word of thanks also to the parish choir for their beautiful music, which greatly enriched the ceremony and helped create a joyful and reflective atmosphere.

A sincere thank you to Fr Johnston for celebrating such a beautiful Mass and for guiding the children so thoughtfully through the Sacrament of Communion. We are very grateful for his continued support and encouragement.

We would also like to thank our wonderful school choir for their uplifting and reverent music, which added so much to the atmosphere of the day.

We hope that all the children had a fantastic day, filled with joy, family, and faith, as they received the Sacrament of Communion for the first time.
