Junior and Senior Infants have been busy exploring Space as part of our STEM programme, and what an exciting journey it has been!
The children learned all about space and the moon landings, talking about astronauts, rockets, and what it might be like to travel into space. There were lots of great questions and imaginations working hard as we discovered more about the moon and space travel. 🌍✨
To bring our learning to life, the children designed and made their own rockets, carefully choosing colours and shapes and thinking about how rockets fly into space. They also had great fun designing their own space suits, making sure they were ready for a mission to the moon! 👩🚀🧑🚀
This hands-on learning helped the children to be creative, curious, and confident, while developing early science, design, and problem-solving skills. Our classroom was full of excitement, learning, and lots of countdowns to launch! 🚀
