We had a fantastic celebration of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2026 in our school, with a wide range of fun activities that encouraged the children to use and enjoy the Irish language throughout the week.

To finish the week in style, we celebrated today (Monday) with Lá Glas agus Dioscó Gaelach before the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. The school was filled with green, music, dancing, and lots of smiles.
It was a wonderful week that gave the children the opportunity to practise their Irish in a fun, relaxed environment through games, play, and teamwork. Bhí an Ghaeilge beo bríomhar ar fud na scoile!

- Cluiche Scoil Iomlán – a whole-school game that got everyone involved
- Seilg Scabhnóra – a scavenger hunt where the children used their Gaeilge to solve clues
- Beebots – as Gaeilge – using our Beebots while practising Irish vocabulary
- Cluiche 10 – a lively game that tested both teamwork and language skills
- Cluiche Imposter – lots of laughter as the children tried to spot the imposter!
- Tráth na gCeist agus Dathanna na gContae – a fun quiz exploring counties and colours through Gaeilge
