To help us understand this, the children used their teddies, spoons, cups, bowls, and plates to check if every teddy had enough for tea time! We looked carefully to see if the sets matched, did every teddy have one bowl? One spoon? One cup? If there were extras or not enough, we talked about how to make the sets the same.
This hands-on activity was full of fun, talk, and teamwork. The children loved helping their teddies while learning that matching and comparing sets helps us understand numbers and quantity.
Learning through play makes maths enjoyable and meaningful, and there were lots of happy teddies (and children!) by the end of our lesson! 🧸💛
