Spikeball 2015. |
Spikeball is a variation of volleyball which is widely played in primary and secondary schools throughout Ireland. It is a very inclusive game where all members of the team get a turn in each position on the court during the duration game.
Each year TY students come to coach the senior pupils. Although we have only been playing the game for 4 years, the school has had teams at the national finals once and progressed to the Connacht Finals on three occasions. This year 2015, our senior mixed team are Mayo champions, for the 2nd year in a row, and are to represent Mayo in the Connacht finals in Loughrea in March. |
