Her visit was a great opportunity for the pupils to learn about the EU in a practical, personable way. Lisa was very informative and spoke about how the EU works, about the European Parliament and the European Commission, how the different institutions cooperate with each other and the impact of the EU on the lives of Irish people. She also discussed European issues and how they affect Ireland, in particular Brexit.
Lisa spoke of all the hard work her job entails and the necessity to take care of yourself, especially your mental health. Lisa was gifted a Peace Package created by the students of 5th and 6th class as part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, aimed to support positive mental health.
Lisa answered many questions and her visit was greatly appreciated by all.
