By the end of the school year the garden was well established with a substantial supply of lettuce, rocket and spring onions quickly available. Some nasturtiums and sunflowers were planted with great success.
Now that Autumn has arrived the harvest has been bountiful and includes cabbage, onions, beetroot, leeks, parsnips, spinach, carrots and even some oats that arrived by air from where we don’t know. Children have been able to bring home some of the vegetables and hopefully will get to taste more in the near future.
Martin has been back this year to review the harvest and prepare for the coming years planting.
