The new school year begins this Wednesday 31st August for all pupils. Thanks to the dedicated work of a number of parents during the holidays, we have a new one wall handball court beside the school shelter. This is one of only a handfull of such courts in the country. It can also be used for team games as well such as squash, hurling target practice, target games etc.
Thanks to the Board of Management for the go ahead and to Tommie Harrington, Des O Toole, Martin Maye and Thomas Harrington for the time, dedication and skill they used in its construction. It is a welcome addition to support our pupils participation in sports activities and reflects the commitment to the schools ongoing Active Schools Flag programme.
In addition during the holidays a number of the classrooms and the school corridor have been painted .
