This year Cloonlyon is involved with the Blue Star Programme. This Programme aims to better students knowledge and understanding of the EU and how it affects Ireland. Students must carry out projects in relation to four key elements: the history, geography, culture and creativity, and Institutions of the EU.
A great amount of work has been put in and fourth and fifth class pupils have just completed the first element. They created projects based on Pope Francis and 1916 and are currently eagerly working away on the next element.
