Last Friday our boys and girls gaelic football teams took part in the local area Cumann na mBunscoil competitions in Charlestown Sarsfields GAA pitch. There were three schools involved on the day - Carracastle, Kilmovee and Cloonlyon.
The day began with the boys playing Carracastle who they defeated. They then played Kilmovee who, despite some great performances, they unfortunately lost to. The boys team put in an excellent effort and were runners up on the day.
In the girls competition, they played Kilmovee in the semi-final. After a great game, the girls defeated Kilmovee progressing to the final where they played Carracastle. A huge effort from all the girls resulted in them winning the final to take home the perpetual shield. It was a wonderful day packed with entertaining matches and great performances.
