This year students participated in the Blue Star Programme which culminated in a celebration on Europe Day. The school community showcased all of the Blue Star work that had been carried out throughout the year via displays, food tasting, art work, clay art, etc.
To open our Europe Day celebration all present participated in the 'Handshake for Europe', whereby all present shook hands with each other to recognise the solidarity that exists among European citizens and to celebrate the diversity that comes with being part of a strong and inclusive Union.
Our local Councillor Gerry Murray, who is a member of the EU Committee of the Regions, attended the celebration and spoke about his involvement with the EU via his political work.
We would like to thank all of the parents who attended and a special thanks to all those students who worked on the Blue Star Programme.
