On the 3rd of November 2015, 5th, and 6th class and 1st year students from Cloonlyon are going to the Helix Theatre in Dublin. We found out about three weeks ago when our teacher got an email from FIS saying that we have been shortlisted. We are leaving from Bushfield church at 8:15 AM we will be back at about 5:30 pm.The film is approximately 5 minutes long. It is about a man named Patrick Tarpey and his brother Micheal. During World War 1 Patrick and Micheal left Ireland and traveled to England for work. They found a job on a potato farm in Yorkshire. The farm owners would have encouraged the workers to join the army- they would tell them that the war would be over before Christmas. Patrick and Micheal joined the Yorkshire Light Infantry. We had help with the film from Tom Meskil parent of two children from the school. He helped us taking the photos for the film.
