Students from Cloonlyon attended this years FÍS Film festival awards ceremony in the Helix in Dublin. Cloonlyon triumphed at the awards, taking home the gong for ‘Best Storytelling’ for our film entry ‘The Béiceadán’ which you can watch below. RTE’s Sinead Kennedy was on hand to present the show.
The standard of film making from all the finalists was very high with some schools adding in wonderful animation, visual effects, brilliant music, amazing acting and fantastic storytelling.
Well done to all pupils, to Mr. Collins, Mr. Haran and a particular well done to Jack and Katie for stepping up to receive the award and accepting a brilliant new iPad on behalf of the school.
We would also like to thank all the parents and teachers who came with us to the Helix. We enjoyed a wonderful welcome home from children and parents who waited at the school with banners and balloons to acknowledge our award winning students.
